a bit about the penguin behind this

About

Sarvin Eshaghi is a game designer, producer and PhD student in Informatics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a background in architecture, landscape architecture and historic preservation.

Her research sits at the intersection of game studies, digital heritage and educational theory. Drawing on years of building educational games across disciplines, she explores how cooperative play and collaborative learning can extend into public and urban space: playable cities and participatory urbanism that foster inclusion, community engagement and a deeper sense of place.

As Associate Producer and Quality Assurance Lead at the stu/dio, the University of Illinois student game studio, she leads QA processes and production standards across projects, keeping creative vision, technical implementation and educational goals aligned.

Research interests Game Studies · Collaborative Learning · Participatory Urbanism · Sense of Place

fun fact: she loves penguins (hence the logo) ♥
